MONASTIC LIFE
History and legends are brought to life in the newly rebuilt Cistercian convent at Helfta. Its 15 hectares of grounds are an inviting place for relaxation and contemplation.

Daily guided tours of the convent by prior arrangement

Visitors are invited to attend canonical services and Holy Mass in the convent church. A new hotel, restaurant and function room complex has been built within the historic convent walls.
LECTURES
Lectures and special exhibitions in the houses where Martin Luther was born and where he died. Full programme available on request.
MUSICAL EXPERIENCES
Concerts are held all year round in the St. Mechthild hall at Helfta Convent.

The lutheran town of Mansfeld
You will visit the house where Luther’s parents lived, St. George’s Church and Mansfeld Castle whose castle chapel dates back to Lutheran times.

Mining heritage
